Aurora Shores Tennis Association (ASTA)
 
The Aurora Shores Tennis Association had a great 2011.  Our group has expanded and the value for the families is fantastic!  We are thinking about expanding the program in 2012 to include a Kids 123 program in the evenings, but would like to know if residents would be interested.  If you are interested, please let us know at asha.tennis@yahoo.com.  Only current residents in good standing can participate in the tennis league.
 
Read on to see what we offered in 2011...

 
Kids 123 Tennis Lessons - Signup Deadline - Friday, June 17th
 
*  Two lessons per week for six weeks $65 per season  - just $5.00 a lesson - Awesome Deal!!
*  Program dates - June 27th through August 1st
*  Lessons will be just for fun on Mondays with Michael French and on Wednesday Dania Banc will be teaching again.
*  If you are interested please download the form here or e-mail us at asha.tennis@yahoo.com and we will send you a sign up form.

 
Adult Tennis Lessons
 
*  Dania Banc will teach lessons to the adults during swim team practice in the morning.  The cost will be $10 dollars per person per lesson with a minimum of four people.  Lessons will be held while the kids are learning to swim. 
*  If you are interested please e-mail us at asha.tennis@yahoo.com and we will get you signed up.
 
Wednesday Night Competitive Tennis
 
* Show up anytime after 6:00 pm at the Marina Tennis Courts and a member of the Aurora Shores Tennis Committee will be there to help you get involved.  
 
Tennis Leagues - $10 per person per event (singles for example) for the season - Signup Deadline - May 20th
 
*  E-Mail asha.tennis@yahoo.com if you are interested.
*  Program will run from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
*  Joe Aceto and Tim Shira will run it this year.
*  We will be using an on-line tool to support the tennis league this year.  Check it out at -  http://www.mytennisgroup.com.
*  We will offer singles, doubles, mixed doubles based on demand.    
*  The cost is going to be $10.00 per person per league.
*  So if you want to play for example Mens Singles and Mixed Doubles the cost will be $20.00
 
Any money made from the program will be used to support an EOY party or something to benefit the group.

We are getting prepared for the 4th of July. As always, we need volunteers both the day of the event and for event planning. We need donations of prizes for our contests, donations for food and beverages and general donations to help support the event. We also need a local restaurant to take part in the eating challenge. If you are interested/know anyone interested/know a local restaurant owner, please contact  4thofJuly@aurorashores.com.

ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE NEWS
Please be advised that free standing pools are subject to approval by the Architectural Review Board and the Homeowners Board of Trustees before being put up next Spring/Summer. These structures need to be in compliance with Aurora or Reminderville statutes as well before being brought before the Architectural review board. Violations will be subject to fines in the future.
We will not be having Architectural Committee meetings during the winter months. The next meeting will be April 11, 2012. If you have any questions or need plans approved over the winter, please contact the Homeowners office at (330) 562-3443.
